My name is Kenan Van Scoyoc, and I am an Assured Admit into the Kenan-Flagler Business School, planning to major in Business and Mathematics. I serve as the Director of Operations for NEX GEN. In this role I am a lead operator for logistics, working on reviewing both volunteer and student applications for the club. I look forward to contributing by strengthening our operations, improving communication, and helping create a positive environment for every student and volunteer. I’m very excited to see the growth of NEX GEN CEO!

My name is Claire Broda, and I am so honored and excited to join NEX GEN CEO! I am a current UNC freshman, majoring in Data Science. In addition, I am a member of Honors Carolina and the UNC Scholars program. Throughout high school, I gained extensive leadership experience by serving as our student government's athletic leader, where I managed two of our school's social media pages and led a team of students in planning pep rallies and other athletic-related events. I was also treasurer for our social committee, where I assisted in planning events such as prom and homecoming.
Additionally, I served as captain of our basketball team for two years. During my summers, I worked as a camp counselor for a children's camp, where I learned a great deal about service and the impact of mentoring those younger than me. I plan to utilize the skills I have acquired through my leadership experiences to serve the excellent NEX GEN CEO program and benefit the youth and future generations of leaders worldwide.

My name is Emily Floyd (she/her), and I am a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, double-majoring in Business and Political Science with a minor in Geographic Information Science. Before attending UNC, I earned my Associate in Arts and a business certificate from my local community college, where I also founded a business club that launched a community book-sharing initiative to expand access to educational resources.
I bring a strong foundation in leadership and service, having organized campus-wide events, mentored peers in technology and design, and built partnerships with institutions such as Wake Forest University. I have also completed business coursework at NYU and studied abroad in France through a partnership with the University of Bordeaux. These experiences strengthened my commitment to entrepreneurship and global collaboration.

My name is Rebecca Stovall, and I currently serve as the assistant at NEX GEN CEO, where I have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and learn firsthand about leadership and community impact. I plan to major in Political Science and Philosophy, with a minor in Business, and pursue a pre-law track. Through this combination of disciplines, I aim to establish a solid foundation in critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and strategic problem-solving—all essential skills for advocating for justice and driving positive societal change.
I am deeply committed to using my education to make a tangible difference in communities, both locally and nationally. At UNC, I aim to contribute to initiatives that advance public health, promote justice, and implement policies that address systemic challenges. In particular, I am passionate about medical malpractice law and expanding access to healthcare. I believe that everyone deserves high-quality care and that the legal system can play a crucial role in ensuring accountability and protecting patients’ rights.
Beyond my academic and professional goals, I am motivated by the belief that meaningful change comes from both advocacy and collaboration. I am eager to engage with peers, mentors, and community organizations at UNC to develop innovative solutions that improve healthcare delivery, strengthen legal protections, and create equitable opportunities for all. My ultimate goal is to combine my knowledge of law, policy, and ethics to help build a society where individuals receive the care and support they need, and where communities can thrive with justice and compassion at their core.
