Last weekend, NEX GEN CEO had the honor of attending the Ukrainian-American Entrepreneurs Workshop, an inspiring international networking event that brought together business leaders, innovators, and purpose-driven entrepreneurs from both sides of the globe.
Kaylee Stavlas, Miss North Carolina Teen USA, proudly represented NEX GEN CEO alongside co-founder Laura Stavlas, sharing insights and learning from leaders across a variety of industries.
Ukranian entrepreneur and author Aleska Aishpur organized this incredible event, with a special thank you to Kevin White and Spirit Media, who graciously hosted the event and created a space for collaboration, inspiration, and growth.
The Theme: Harnessing AI in Business—with Purpose
Much of the day focused on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the way we do business. From tools that automate lead generation to systems that personalize customer journeys, AI is not just a buzzword—it’s a powerful tool that, when used ethically, can amplify impact.
But the deeper takeaway? Technology should serve people, not replace them.
As we listened to entrepreneurs share how they’ve used AI to streamline processes or expand their reach, we were reminded that successful businesses start with service and purpose.
Top Takeaways for NEX GEN CEO Student Entrepreneurs
Whether you’re a student just getting started or already running a business, here are a few powerful lessons we took from the workshop:
1. Know Your Purpose
Before you pitch an idea or build a brand, get clear on your why. The most successful entrepreneurs are driven by a mission to solve a problem and serve people.
Ask yourself: What motivates me? Who am I trying to help?
2. Build Meaningful Connections
Entrepreneurship is as much about people as it is about products. This event was a reminder that your network is your net worth.
Tip: After every event or meeting, follow up with a note of gratitude. Be intentional about maintaining relationships.
3. Give Back as You Grow
True leaders look for ways to serve. Whether it’s mentoring a younger student or using your profits to help a cause, generosity is a business strategy.
Tip: Make giving part of your business plan. Start small, stay consistent.
4. Embrace Innovation with Humility
Don’t be afraid of AI—learn about it! Use it wisely. Tools like ChatGPT, Canva AI, and CRM automation can save time and boost creativity. But always remember: you are the heart of your business.
Tip: Take a free online course in AI or attend a tech-focused workshop.
5. Think Global, Act Local
Events like this show us that entrepreneurship knows no borders. We were inspired by Ukrainian entrepreneurs who are innovating with resilience and hope—even in the face of great challenges.
Tip: Be curious about the world. Learn from different cultures and business styles.
Final Thoughts
As Kaylee shared with other attendees, entrepreneurship isn’t about age—it’s about action. You are never too young to lead, create, or make a difference.
To the high school entrepreneurs out there:
Keep showing up. Keep serving. Keep growing.
And remember—what you build matters. But how you build it, and who you build it for, matters even more.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this powerful event to life. Together, we are raising up a generation of leaders who think globally, serve boldly, and innovate with purpose.
